Who were Las Adelitas?
Las Adelitas, also known as Las Soldaderas, were a group of women who participated in the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s.
These women served as an important, yet not well known, role in fight for justice.
These women, many of who were wives and mothers, left their traditional domestic roles behind to fight for the future of their country.
They served as nurses and cared for the wounded, but also gathered their weapons and participated in battles alongside male warriors.
There is little recognition to their undeniable strength and courage. This palette honors and uses their story in hopes to empower other women!
Mujeres Victoriosas, may we be them, may we raise them, may we praise them.
